Now I have to admit that I don’t actually own any linen bedding. Yet. Hence this post really. My mum has been going on about its virtues for a while and our bedding is quite old so I thought it was time I did some research!
Here are my top five linen bedding companies, let me know what you think:
1. Loaf (above)
Did you know that the lovely Loaf also sold bedding? I love all their furniture pieces and the sofas are to die for, so naturally their bed linen looks fantastic! Made from crushed Belgian linen it doesn’t need ironing – hurrah! There are five colour ways; white, dusty pink (shown), light grey, charcoal and duck egg (shown).
Piglet was founded by Jessica Mason in January of this year, with the philosophy that simple, high quality basics are key. With this in mind they have developed a beautiful range of linen bedding that gets softer the more it’s used. Made from 100% natural stonewashed French flax ironing is optional. Aside from the blush pink (seen above) you can choose from charcoal grey, dove grey, white and indigo blue. Pillowcases come in these colours too with the addition of white.
I’m a big fan of all-white bedding, I like to add colour with cushions and throws instead so this pretty design gets the thumbs up from me. Crafted from pure European linen and only available in classic white, it features a hand-pulled fringe detailing that gives it a feathery finish.
4. Also Home
Another favourite company of mine, I’ve seen them grow right from the beginning. They have a lovely range of bedding with contrasting cushions that are perfect for adding pops of colour against this grey range.
5. Soak & Sleep
If you don’t fancy plain then why not try this cheery set that’s designed to create a lovely summery feel. The colours are really pretty and who can resist a classic stripe? It’s part of a brand new range called Boho and is made from 100% linen flax. Available online from August.
Which do you like best?
